2012 Doodle 4 Google Contest Submissions

These pieces were created by a group of artist from Grades 4-8 as entries for the 2012 Doodle 4 Google Contest. This year's challengers had to answer the prompt "If I could travel in time, I'd visit..."

Students incorporated history, art styles from different time periods, and a number of interesting and creative visuals in support of their doodle.

2012 Franklin County Art Show

Please visit the Franklin County Regional art show from April 10-April 15 at the Collins-Perley Complex in St. Albans.

There is an opening reception April 11 from 4:30-6:00 PM.

Underwater Paintings

The 1st and 2nd graders are starting their underwater paintings--a project that teaches watercolor resist. First, they use oil pastels to draw their fish. Later, they'll watercolor the background. The paint can't stick to the pastel. Tune in for a later post to see the finished projects.
